<p>Would you like to have a little Fediversum party?</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>Chilling out in camp form, lounging around on a beautiful meadow, celebrating a relaxed and happy Freakholiday?</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>The camp is a relaxed affair for all people who feel connected to Fediversum, decentralized networking and life in general. There is no strict schedule, but plenty of options for workshops, fooling around, having fun, diligence and laziness, and of course getting to know each other. The area is very rural, it should be noted that this also applies to the internet connection.</p>
|
|
|
|
<h3>Learning and gossip, chilling and barbecuing.</h3>
|
|
|
|
<p>The Fediverse is a concept that encompasses a variety of decentralized social networks interconnected with each other. It is based on open protocols like ActivityPub, enabling different platforms to communicate with each other. Users can interact, share content, and connect across various platforms such as Mastodon, PeerTube, Pixelfed, and others within this network. The Fediverse promotes individual control over data and privacy protection, as users have the freedom to operate their own servers or choose platforms that align with their needs. It offers an alternative, non-commercial, and democratic way of social networking, where users retain control over their online identity.</p>

|
<p>Did you know already? It's also great for chatting analogously.</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>Interaction and communication are of great importance, technical topics etc. are presented in relaxed lectures and workshops.</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>Cooking, making music, fooling around, bike tours and sightseeing, everything is possible! If you think of something...go ahead. This is a "Get involved and be creative" event.</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>The nearby nuclear facilities (keyword: Gorleben) and the sites of resistance against them can be viewed, and of course there will also be information about them.</p>
|

<p>The FediCamp 2023 takes place from 18. to 23.07.2023.</p>
|
|
|

<p>The camping takes place on the grounds of Bauer Wiese, there is already a wealth of experience with camps.</p>
|
|
|
|
<h3>Gasthaus Wies Inn</h3>
|
|
|
|
<p>The Gasthaus Wiese is located in the small village of Gedelitz with 70 souls in the Wendland region, near Gorleben, on the edge of the Niedersächsische-Elbtalaue biosphere reserve. 3 km away are the famous nuclear waste interim and planned repository.</p>
|
|
|
|
<p>The Elbe is 5 km away, there's a lot of forest, fireplaces, goats, enough coffee, people are cooking, sitting around the campfire, play the guitar and stuff like that, oh, it'll just be mega-nice again!</p>
|
|
|
|

|
|
<p>We calculate with a cost of around €100 per person.<p>
|
|
<p>This includes a campsite incl. car, sanitary facilities and electricity. We pay the campsite then collected. Any leftover money will be used for food. There is no organiser, every participant is a private customer on the campsite.</p>

<p>Of course, that's possible. Send us a short email or join the Matrix room, and as a participant, you will receive the verification promptly. This way, you can demonstrate that you are participating in FediCamp.</p><br><br>

<h3>Hygiene Measures</h3>
|
|

<p>Although there are no longer any legal measures in place regarding the Corona pandemic, it is still important for you to follow certain guidelines to ensure the health and safety of everyone. Here are some measures you should consider:</p>
|
|
|
|
<li>Check your health status before the camp. If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please stay at home.</li>
|
|
<li>Greet each other without physical contact, such as handshakes or hugs.</li>
|
|
<li>Practice good hand hygiene and wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.</li>
|
|
<li>Maintain an appropriate distance from other participants, especially in situations where you are in close proximity.</li>
|
|
<li>Wear a mask voluntarily, especially in situations where maintaining a distance is not possible, such as during group activities or in confined spaces.</li>
|
|
<li>Avoid sharing personal items like cutlery, glasses, or bottles. Instead, use individual utensils and containers.</li>
|
|
<li>Stay vigilant and watch out for possible symptoms during the camp. If you develop any symptoms of illness, please inform the contact persons immediately so that appropriate precautions can be taken.</li><br><br>
|

<h3>You want to live stream?</h3>
|
|

<p>KABI Fancy Media offers an RTMP endpoint for streaming via Owncast. This works with all popular streaming cameras as well as OBS. If you already have your own streaming service, it is still advisable to consult with the technical team to set up the appropriate domain records (stream1234.fedi.camp).</p><br><br>

|
|
|

<p>Interested in helping out in the CERT? Feel free to contact us via email.<br>You can reach the CERT through the chat on the website, via Matrix, and by phone. The respective numbers will be posted on-site. Additionally, you can tune in to 149.050.0 MHz (Freenet license-free) near the camp. Check back here frequently for updates!</p>
